Builders Capital is looking for a Controller that can help Builder Capital during a time of growth. Builders is the leading private equity lender in the Northwest, and rapidly expanding into new markets.  We’ve been around since 2009 and provide a comprehensive range of loan programs for builders and developers. Last year alone we originated more than $620M worth of loans and our goal is to double that in the next year, our loans help to create quality housing within communities.

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile accounts for monthly and annual closing
• Review the company’s accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances
• Assist in preparation of GAAP financial statements
• Prepare financial forecasts, analysis and other reports for management to understand the financial state of the business
• Interpreting loan agreements and other critical financial documents
• Manage investor reporting
• Tax compliance and filings
• Participate in preparation of annual audit
• Facilitate processes, including internal controls, and maintaining records

Qualifications:

• Experience as a Controller or similar position
• BA in Accounting
• Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes
• Experience with multi-entity accounting structures
• Understanding of audits and experience in preparing audited financial statements
• Experience with Oracle NetSuite
• Ability to effectively communicate with management and co-workers
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple tasks and projects
• Well organized with ability to prioritize
• High attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook
