Builders Capital is looking for a Credit Administrator to join our fast-growing company!

Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Day to day duties include managing the Loan Review Committee “LRC” by setting meeting agendas, conducting pre-flights, participating in live voting actions, documenting LRC conditions, and maintaining meeting minutes.   
  • Hold monthly reviews for loan guidelines and underwriting policies and are responsible for tracking trends. 
  • Document and publish meeting notes to the company intranet, create tools for trend analysis, and conduct monthly reviews for loan guidelines and underwriting policies. 
  • Manage loan guidelines and underwriting policies, communicate changes, compliance monitoring, and training and deployment related to loan guidelines and underwriting policies. 
  • Act as the gatekeeper for LRC by reviewing requests and exceptions for deals, ensuring resolution, and engaging with Credit Officers and Underwriting Managers to resolve issues as needed. 
  • Act as a cross-functional point of contact before and during LRC to facilitate new approvals and evaluate reworks for already approved deals.  
  • Identify and communicate aging deals and conditions in the pipeline.  
  • Field initial requests for review requests and exceptions for deals from Treasury & Servicing to either resolve based on original LRC approval and conditions or re-direct to Credit Officers & Underwriting Managers to resolve. 
  • Act as cross functional point of contact for Managers of Underwriting/Credit, Servicing, and Treasury teams for guidance and input on process implementation and system enhancements. 
  • Other duties as assigned.  

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Real Estate, or a related field. 
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial underwriting with an emphasis in Construction, with a demonstrated progression of responsibilities. 
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial lending practices, financial analysis, and risk assessment. 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills. 
  • Ability to consistently produce high-quality work products and demonstrate high attention to detail. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team. 
  • Applicable experience necessary to understand not only the legal issues but also the business considerations relevant to our industry. 
  • Process-oriented with the ability and desire to identify, develop, and implement efficiencies and improvements.
